Abstract
Ruang Banach menjamin setiap barisan akan konvergen ke vektor di ruang tersebut. Barisan iterasi yang kontraktif menjamin bahwa barisan tersebut akan konvergen ke suatu titik. Kedua hal di atas yang menjamin keberadaan titik tetap pada operator kontraktif di ruang Banach.
