The journal is committed to publishing high-quality research that advances knowledge and fosters critical engagement with Islamic thought, civilization, and contemporary issues affecting the Muslim world. IJIK aims to promote global academic dialogue and welcomes contributions from scholars across diverse regions and disciplines.

Focus: Contemporary Islamic Challenges
IJIK focuses on the evolving challenges and transformations faced by the Islamic world in the modern era. The journal highlights the intersection between Islamic values and contemporary global developments in science, health, education, politics, economics, ethics, and culture. It aims to provide original insights into how Islamic traditions and scholarship engage with and respond to these challenges across time and space—particularly through critical interpretations grounded in the works of classical and contemporary Islamic thinkers and intellectual traditions.

Scope of the Journal
IJIK accepts original research articles, conceptual papers, critical reviews, book reviews, and empirical studies—including qualitative and field-based research. All submissions must engage with Islamic scholarly frameworks or provide substantial contributions to the understanding of contemporary Islamic issues. Empirical work should be analytically connected to Islamic legal, ethical, sociological, or philosophical concepts and demonstrate relevance to current debates in Islamic studies.

IJIK is particularly interested in research within the following thematic areas:

Articles are encouraged to apply classical and contemporary Islamic frameworks, drawing from the thought of both historical and modern Islamic scholars.

History of Islamic Civilization
This area investigates the formation, evolution, and global contributions of Islamic civilization. IJIK welcomes research offering fresh historical analysis, new methodological approaches, and critical reinterpretations of the intellectual, cultural, legal, and social legacy of Islam across different time periods and geographic regions.

This theme examines the intersection between Islamic principles and modern medical science. Relevant topics include Islamic bioethics, mental health, reproductive technologies, organ transplantation, end-of-life care, and public health.
