Pengaruh Kecerdasan Emosional terhadap School Burnout Siswa di SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Palembang

Abstract


Penelitian ini meneliti tentang pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap school burnout di kalangan siswa yang dapat memengaruhi kesejahteraan dan prestasi akademik. School burnout ditandai dengan kelelahan emosional, depersonalisasi, dan penurunan prestasi. Hal ini menjadi perhatian global dalam pendidikan. Kecerdasan emosional, yang mencakup kemampuan mengelola emosi dan hubungan sosial, diharapkan dapat mengurangi dampak negatif burnout. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah non eksperimental dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner, yaitu Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire Short Form (TEIQue-SF) dan School Burnout Inventory (SBI) versi Bahasa Indonesia. Sampel terdiri dari 150 siswa di SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Palembang, dengan populasi 240 siswa. Analisis regresi sederhana menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional memiliki pengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap school burnout. Semakin tinggi tingkat kecerdasan emosional, semakin rendah tingkat school burnout yang dialami siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional berkontribusi sebesar 2,9% terhadap pengurangan school burnout. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya peningkatan kecerdasan emosional untuk mengurangi risiko school burnout pada siswa, yang dapat berimplikasi positif pada kesejahteraan dan prestasi akademik mereka.
