PENINGKATAN KOMPETENSI TECHNOLOGICAL PEDAGOGICAL AND CONTENT KNOWLEDGE PADA GURU MELALUI PELATIHAN MEDIA BERBASIS EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY

Abstrak
Abad 21 dengan globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi yang pesat, menyebabkan banyak perubahan dalam menjalani hidup, termasuk dalam proses pembelajaran. Teknologi pendidikan menjadi hal yang sangat dibutuhkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Dalam artikel ini, tim pengabdian dosen Universitas Jambi (UNJA) menganalisis kemampuan guru-guru di SMPN 17 di Kota Jambi tentang penggunaan media teknologi dalam pengajaran sebagai bagian dari upaya peningkatan kompetensi Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) berbasis Educational Technology. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana para guru menggunakan EdTech dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Lewat metode ceramah, demonstrasi dan pendamping peserta, dapat dilihat bahwa setelah dilaksanakan observasi awal dengan langkah wawancara, para guru sebagian besar belum menggunakan media teknologi sepenuhnya karena ketidaktahuan dalam penggunaan. Akibatnya, pelatihan EdTech ini sangat penting untuk membantu guru memanfaatkan media teknologi dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan, dan menilai pembelajaran. Proses pelatihan ini mencakup perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Tim pengabdian menganalisis kebutuhan melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan guru selama tahap perencanaan. Karena mereka belum pernah mengikuti pelati, guru menganggap pelatihan dan pendampingan EdTech sangat penting, menurut hasil wawancara. Pelatihan dilakukan secara tatap muka dengan narasumber yang ahli dalam penggunaan EdTech, yang memberi peserta kesempatan untuk berbicara dan mengajukan pertanyaan. Setelah pelatihan selesai, peserta diharapkan dapat memiliki peningkatan kompetensi TPACK serta pemahaman dan ilmu dalam penggunaan EdTech pada proses pembelajaran di kelas.
Abstract
The 21st century, with globalization and rapid technological developments, has caused many changes in living life, including in the learning process. Educational technology is something that is really needed in the learning process. In this article, the Jambi University (UNJA) lecturer service team analyzes the abilities of teachers at SMPN 17 in Jambi City regarding the use of technological media in teaching as part of efforts to increase Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) competencies based on Educational Technology. This research aims to find out the extent to which teachers use EdTech in implementing learning. Through lecture methods, demonstrations and accompanying participants, it can be seen that after carrying out initial observations using interview steps, most of the teachers have not used technological media fully due to ignorance in their use. As a result, EdTech training is very important to help teachers utilize technological media in planning, implementing and assessing learning. This training process includes planning, implementing and evaluating activities. The service team analyzes needs through observations and interviews with teachers during the planning stage. Because they had never taken training, teachers considered EdTech training and mentoring very important, according to interviews. Training is conducted face-to-face with resource persons who are experts in the use of EdTech, which gives participants the opportunity to talk and ask questions.
