Perkembangan literasi di Indonesia sejauh ini masih belum menunjukkan kinerja yang menggembirakan. Dalam uji keterampilan membaca tingkat internasional melalui tes PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) tahun 2018, skor literasi Indonesia masih menempati peringkat ke 64 dari 70 negara. Ini menunjukkan lemahnya keterampilan membaca pada anak-anak di Indonesia.  Untuk meningkatkan kualitas SDM di pedesaan, diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa pada anak. untuk meningkatkan minat baca serta kemampuan membaca awal, program literasi bahasa dengan strategi mental imagery storytelling dilaksanakan di Desa Mandasari Kecamatan Cikancung Kabupaten Bandung Provinsi Jawa Barat. Program dilasanakan secara daring dan luring. Peserta sebanyak 25 orang dengan rentang 5-12 tahun. Hasil menunjukkan peserta antusias dan aktif dalam mengikuti kegiatanReferences
