Penguatan Literasi Digital Al-Qur'an dan Hadis Santri PKP Al-Hidayah Jambi Dalam Menangkal Hoaks Keagamaan
Abstract
Program ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) melalui lima tahapan: to know, to understand, to plan, to act, dan to change.

Abstract
The Community Service Program (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat/PkM) entitled Strengthening Digital-Based Qur’anic and Hadith Literacy for Santri of PKP Al-Hidayah, Jambi Province was implemented in response to the increasing spread of religious hoaxes on social media, which frequently manipulate Qur’anic verses and hadith without authoritative sources. This phenomenon poses a serious threat, as it may lead to religious misunderstandings and social conflict. Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), as centers of Islamic education, hold a strategic position in strengthening digital religious literacy to counter such hoaxes. This program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach through five stages: to know, to understand, to plan, to act, and to change. Activities included initial observation, focus group discussions, enrichment of digital religious literacy materials, training on the use of digital tafsir and hadith applications and websites, analysis of religious hoax case studies, and hands-on verification practices. The results indicate a significant improvement in the santri’s digital Qur’anic and hadith literacy, as reflected in the increase of pre-test scores from 46.67 to 92.87 in the post-test. Moreover, participants demonstrated enhanced skills in verifying the authenticity of religious information and the establishment of a “filter before sharing” culture as a new norm of ethical social media engagement. The program also strengthened the capacity of teachers and pesantren administrators and fostered the formation of a santri digital literacy community. With sustained implementation through integration into pesantren activities, PKP Al-Hidayah has the potential to serve as a model for strengthening digital religious literacy in Jambi Province.
