PROSES SEMIOSIS DALAM KARIKATUR PADA KORAN ONLINE BERBAHASA ARAB (Kajian Semiotika)

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah, untuk mengetahui proses semiosis dalam karikatur pada koran online berbahasa Arab. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang pada umumnya diterapkan di dalam kajian-kajian ilmu sosial dan humaniora, dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotik, yaitu suatu cabang ilmu yang mempelajari tanda. Adapun data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa gambar karikatur yang disertai teks sebagai data primer. Kemudian, untuk menunjang penelitian ini digunakan juga data sekunder berupa artikel-artikel maupun dokumen-dokumen yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Setelah penelitian selesai dilakukan, maka didapatkan jenis-jenis tanda dengan berbagai makna yang dikandungnya. Proses semiosis pada penelitian ini banyak mengungkap makna-makna politis, dari gambar-gambar yang familiar sering terlihat sehari-hari. Selain itu, dalam proses semiosis itu sendiri banyak mengungkap simbol suatu negara tertentu.
The purpose of this study was to find out the process of caricature semiosis in Arabic online newspapers. This study was a qualitative study generally applied in social and humanities studies, using a semiotic approach, a study of signs. The primary data used in the study were caricature images with Arabic texts in the online Arabic newspaper. At the same time, the secondary data were taken from articles and documents related to this study. After that, it was obtained the types of signs with its various meanings. The semiotic process revealed many of the political implications of familiar daily images. Besides, in the process of semiosis itself, many implied the symbols of particular countries.
