Makna Dukungan Orang Tua terhadap Keberhasilan Akademik Remaja: Studi Fenomenologi pada Keluarga dengan Pola Asuh Otoritatif

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman subjektif remaja SMP yang dibesarkan dengan pola asuh otoritatif serta pengaruhnya terhadap keberhasilan akademik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi fenomenologi deskriptif berdasarkann langkah analisis Colaizzi. Partisipan terdiri dari lima remaja SMP dengan prestasi akademik baik (nilai rata-rata 85 dan peringkat tiga besar di kelas) serta berasal dari keluarga dengan pola asuh otoritatif. Partisipan dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam selama 30–45 menit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga tema utama: (1) dukungan emosional dan pemantauam konsisten dari orang tua, (2) kebebasan belajar yang disertai pengawasan, dan (3) persepsi remaja mengenai keterkaitan pola asuh otoritatif dengan keberhasilan akademik. Dukungan diberikan dalam bentuk motivasi verbal, penyediaan fasilitas belajar seperti les privat, dan sikap orang tua yang tidak menekan namun tetap memantau perkembangan anak. Kebebasan belajar yang diawasi meningkatkan rasa percaya diri, tanggung jawab, dan motivasi intrinsik. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pola asuh otoritatif menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif yang memperkuat kepercayaan diri, membangun disiplin, dan keberhasilan akademik.
