Focus and Scope

JPIB: Jurnal Psikologi Islam dan Budaya is a peer-reviewed scientific journal in Islamic and Cultural Psychology published by the Faculty of Psychology, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati. JPIB: Jurnal Psikologi Islam dan Budaya publishes empirical research with quantitative or qualitative approaches to understand the psychological processes of individuals, groups, and communities, in Muslims and/ or cultural contexts.

Peer Review Process

  1. Every submitted manuscript will be selected by The Editorial Board
  2. Manuscripts that meet the standard writing criteria will be forwarded to the reviewers, while manuscripts that do not meet the standard writing criteria will be returned to the author without review process by the reviewers
  3. The manuscripts reviewed by reviewers will be returned to the author if they require improvement. After the authors make improvements based on the input and rating of the reviewers, then the author must submit the revised manuscript for re-reviewed
  4. The review process uses Double-blind Review, that is, the reviewer does not know the author's identity, and the author does not know the reviewer's identity
  5. The review process will consider novelty, objectivity, methods, scientific impact, conclusions, and references
  6. The decision whether the text is approved or rejected will be decided by the Editor in Chief based on the recommendation of the reviewer at the forum of the Editorial Board meeting
  7. Plagiarism screening will be conducted using turnitin, an Internet-based plagiarism-prevention commercial service.

 

Publication Frequency

Starting in 2018 is published two times a year, every April and October

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Publication Ethics

All parties involved in the process of publishing or publication of the PIB Journal, whether Manager, Editor, Reviewer, or the Author must understand and adhere to the norms or ethics of scientific publications.

This Statement is based on the Head of LIPI Regulation no. 5 year 2014 on Kode Etik Publikasi Ilmiah.

In essence, the scientific work for publication should uphold the three ethical values of publication, namely; (i) Neutrality, free from conflict of interest in the management of publications; (ii) Justice, which authorizes authors to those authorized as authors or authors; (iii) Honesty, ie free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publication.

The description :

A. Duplication is an article publication of more than one channel without perfection, content update, data, and / or no citation in previous publications;

B. Fabication is the act of making data, nothing becomes as if it exists, without proving to have done the research process;

C. Counterfeiting is to alter the data with the intent to conform to the researcher's wishes through the manipulation of research material, or research process, alter or exclude certain data or results in such a way that the research is not presented accurately;

D. Plagiarism is misuse by the use or inclusion of ideas, thoughts, processes, objects, and research results, whether in the form of data or words / phrases, including research materials, research plans, and manuscripts without listing the source as an appreciation of existing scientific works first

 

Journal Manager Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Determine the name of the journal, scope of science, publication frequency, and submission of accreditation if necessary.
  2. Determine the board editor's membership.
  3. Define the relationship between publishers, editors, reviewers, and others in a contract.
  4. Appreciate the things that are confidential, both for contributing researchers, authors / authors, editors, and reviewers.
  5. Apply the norms and provisions on intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
  6. Take a journal policy review and present it to authors / authors, editorial boards, reviewers, and readers.
  7. Make code guides behave for editors and reviewers.
  8. Publish the journal regularly.
  9. Ensure availability of funding sources for sustainability of journal publishing.
  10. Establish network of cooperation and marketing.
  11. Preparing permissions and other legality aspects.
