Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir is an open-access journal and peer-reviewed scientific work theoretically and practically studying the Qur'anic science and tafsir.

Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts are read by the editorial staff. Those Manuscripts evaluated by editors as inappropriate to journal criteria are rejected promptly without external review. Manuscripts considered to be of potential interest to our readership are sent to double-blind reviewers. The editors then make a decision based on the reviewer's recommendation from among several possibilities: rejected, major revision, need minor revision, or accepted.
The editor has the right to decide which manuscripts submitted to the journal should be published.
Review Process :
- The author submits the manuscript
- Editor Evaluation/Desk Review (includes plagiarism check, reference accuracy, conformity with focus and scope. Manuscript could be rejected or returned to the review process).
- The double-blind peer-review process by two reviewers

Publication Frequency
Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir publishes two times a year i.e. June and December.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Publication Ethics
PUBLICATION ETHICS AND MALPRACTICE STATEMENT
The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is, therefore, important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editors, the peer reviewers, and the publisher.
Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir is a peer-reviewed journal to publish articles in the field of gender studies. Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir is committed to the ethical standards set for all entities involved in the publication of the article.
DUTIES OF EDITOR-IN-CHIEF, MANAGING EDITOR, AND EDITORS
Liabilities:
The Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir has an editorial team consisting of an editor-in-chief, a managing editor, and a board of editors. They all are required to be accountable and responsible editors for publishing the Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir article. The Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir editors led by the editor-in-chief. The Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir editors have a duty and responsibility as follows: Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor accept articles submitted by the author to the Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir.
- Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor accept articles submitted by the author to the Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir.
- Articles submitted by the authors to the Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir are distributed by the Editor-in-Chief or Managing Editor to the editors in the Board of Editors for conducting the 1st review process (initial review). Distribution of the articles are well-regulated by the Editor-in-Chief, or Managing Editor so workload can be fairly distributed in number to all editors. Review process Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir using a double-blind peer-review system, performed by using the Referee's Appraisal Form.
- Editor-in-Chief is responsible for determining the deadline for receipt of articles that are ready for publication.
- Editor-in-Chief is responsible for implementing and leading the editorial board meeting. Editorial board meetings conducted at least 1 (one) times in 1 (one) issue, to finalize the issue for publication. If the Editor-in-Chief is absent, then Editor-in-Chief can assign the Managing Editor or one of editors to do the duties.
Justice:
A decision to publish an article is done through the mechanism of peer-review processs stated above, and it is taken into account based on the quality of article. The decision was taken without considering the religion, ethnic origin, nationality, race or gender of the author.
Confidentiality:
Confidentiality of the article before publication maintained as well as possible. The Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir editors cannot release any information available on the article to anyone except the author of the article. Information in a text can be released to others Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir editor with the knowledge of the Editor-in-Chief, or Managing Editor.
Disclosure and conflict of interest:
Articles and the materials related to the article that are not accepted for publication in Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir must be returned to the authors, and it cannot be used by the Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir editors for any reason. To avoid conflicts of interest, the decision was taken in publishing the articles should be fair and based on the peer-review process.
DUTIES OF REVIEWERS
Contribution to Editorial Decisions:
Evaluation Reviewers become the main reference for the Editor-in-Chief in making editorial decisions. Evaluation results from the reviewers are really intended to help the author to improve the quality of the article.
Promptness:
Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process
Confidentiality:
Each article is accepted by the reviewer must be strictly confidential. Article and peer-reviewed results should not be submitted directly to the author, or communicated to other than the author, but it must be submitted to the editor in charge, Editor-in-Chief or the Managing Editor.
Standards of Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation. A reviewer should also call to the editor's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers
DUTIES OF AUTHORS
Reporting Standard
Authors must present the original manuscript, not published in any form, and do not submit the same article to other journals until the publisher give an answer regarding the feasibility of the manuscript. Authors should provide accurate and accountable data. Authors must cite the sources appropriately by considering the content of the manuscript either in the form of written publications and personal interviews. Authors who are discovered to make a major error in their own published works are required to notify the publisher or editor and assist with withdrawal or correction of the manuscript. Author should follow the Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir guidelines in preparing the article to submit
Originality, plagiarism and acknowledgement of sources
Authors should adhere to publication requirements that submitted work is original, is not plagiarized, and has not been published elsewhere - fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable. To ensure it, the authors need to check the originality of article using plagiarism checker before submission. The article will be rejected if there is plagiarism on the article. Any information from references used in the article should be honestly and accurately cited in the article.
Data Access and Retention
Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review, and should in any event be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable time after publication.
Ethics
Authors should only submit papers only on work that has been conducted in an ethical and responsible manner and that complies with all relevant legislation.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
All authors should disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included on the paper, and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.
Multiple submissions, Redundant or Concurrent Publication
The authors should submit their article to the Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir. When it is not acceptable to publish in the Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir as the result of peer-review and officially reported by the Editor-in-Chief or the Managing Editor, the authors can submit it to other journal. The article will be rejected if there is plagiarism and multiple submissions on the article.
Fundamental errors in published works
When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper. If the editor or the publisher learns from a third party that a published work contains a significant error, it is the obligation of the author to promptly retract or correct the paper or provide evidence to the editor of the correctness of the original paper
DUTIES OF PUBLISHER
Department of Religious Studies Post-graduate Programs of the UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung as the publisher of Mashadiruna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir, encourages the editors and all stakeholders involved in publication processes to follow the ethics and code of conducts of every parties. The publisher defines the relationship between publisher, editor and other party in a contract, respect privacy, protects intellectual property and copyright, and fosters editorial independence.
Publisher works with journal editors to set journal policies appropriately and aim to meet those policies, particularly with respect to: editorial independence, research ethics, including confidentiality, consent, and the special requirements for research, authorship, transparency and integrity.
Publisher works with journal editors to converse journal policies in general and review journal policies periodically, responsible for the investigation of suspected research and publication misconduct and, where possible, facilitate in the resolution of these cases, make and publish corrections, clarifications, and retractions, and publish content on a timely basis.
