Peran Kepala Sekolah dalam Meningkatkan Mutu Pendidikan Melalui Gerakan Literasi dan Numerasi

Pendidikan menurut Undang-Undang No. 20 Tahun 2003 Bab 1 Pasal 1 yang berbunyi: “Pendidikan adalah usaha sadar dan terencana untuk mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran agar peserta didik secara aktif mengembangkan potensi dirinya untuk memiliki kekuatan spiritual keagamaan, pengendalian diri, kepribadian, kecerdasan, akhlak mulia, serta keterampilan yang diperlukan dirinya, masyarakat, bangsa dan neagaraâ€. Dunia pendidikan tidak dapat dipisahka dari literasi dan numerasi. Melalui Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) diharapkan peserta didik mampu memahami apa yang di pelajari di sekolah sehingga dapat meningkatkan mutu atau kualitas pendidikan terlepas dari pada itu peran kepala sekolah sangatlah penting dalam mengelola sekolah adapaun sekolah yang menjadi focus adalah SDN 23 Ampenan Kota mataram, berdasarkan lapor pendidikan tahun 2021 sekolah tersebut perlu mendapat perhatian dan intervensi khususnya literasi dan numerasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kegiatan-kegiatan sekolah melalui program GLS dan peran kepala sekolah sebagai manajer. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, deskriptif, observasi sehingga dapat menggetahui penyebab rendahnya pemahaman literasi dan numerasi di sekolah tersebut.References
