Focus and Scope

Syifa al Qulub is a periodical scientific journal that publishes the results of recent studies and researches that focus on Spiritual studies:

1. Sufism; Sufism Figures, Sufism Teachings, Basic Concepts of Sufism, Sufi Orders, Order Teachings, and History of Orders.

2. Sufistic Counseling; Individual or group counseling that uses the Sufistic Method, Religious Counseling, and Islamic Counseling.

3. Sufistic Psychotherapy; Various Sufistic Based Treatment Methods, Remembrance Therapy (Zikir), Fasting Therapy, Rukyah, and Prophetic Therapy.

Peer Review Process

Some policies in the review of Syifa al-Qulub Journal:

  1. Reviewers will review each submitted paper.
  2. The review process uses a double-blind review, which means that both the book review and the author's identity are hidden from reviewers, and vice versa.
  3. In the review process, reviewers consider the correspondence of titles, abstracts, discussions (findings), and conclusions. In addition, the reviewers also examine new things, scientific impacts, and references used in the paper.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.



This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...


Publication Ethics

Ethics of Syifa al-Qulub Journal Publication

Syifa al-Qulub Journal is one of the journals managed by the Major of Sufism of Ushuluddin Department of Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, which was first published in 2016. Syifa al-Qulub Journal is a scientific journal published twice a year.

This scientific code of ethics statement is a code of ethics statement for all parties involved in the process of publishing scientific journals, especially managers, editors, best partners, and authors. The Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication basically upholds three ethical values in publication, such as (i) Neutrality, which is free from conflicts of interest in maintaining the publications; (ii) Justice, which is to give authorship rights to those who are entitled as authors; and (iii) Honesty, which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publications.

Publisher's Responsibilities

  1. Journal Publisher Syifa al-Qulub is responsible for publishing the manuscript which passes through the process of editing, reviewing, and laying out in accordance with the rules of Scientific Journal publishing.
  2. Journal Publisher Syifa al-Qulub is responsible for ensuring academic freedom for editors and best partners in carrying out their respective duties.
  3. Journal Publisher Syifa al-Qulub is responsible for maintaining privacy and protecting intellectual property and copyright, and editorial freedom.

Editor's Responsibilities

  1. Syifa al-Qulub Journal Editor is responsible for deciding appropriate texts to be published through editorial council meetings which refer to applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright violation, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism.
  2. In the process of reviewing and receiving the manuscript, the editorial team of the Syifa al-Qulub Journal based on the principle of equality of treatment in making decisions to publish the text by not distinguishing the race, gender, religion, ethnicity, citizenship or political ideology of the author.
  3. The editor and editorial team of the Syifa al-Qulub Journal will not disclose any information about the manuscript or manuscript entered except with the author's permission.
  4. Unpublished manuscripts will not be used by the research editor of the Syifa al-Qulub Journal for their own interests and will be returned directly to the author.

Mitrabestari's Responsibility

Syifa al-Qulub Journal Mitrabestari assists the editor in making editorial decisions on the texts / incoming texts.

  1. Syifa al-Qulub Journal Mitrabestari is responsible for the recommendations of the manuscript it reviewed.
  2. The study of the manuscript is done objectively, and is supported by clear arguments.
  3. Syifa al-Qulub Journal Mitrabestari is responsible for citation, reference, duplication, fabrication of data, falsification of data and plagiarism of the texts it examines.
  4. Syifa al-Qulub Journal Mitrabestari must always maintain the confidentiality of information and must not use information from the manuscript that it examines for personal gain / interest.

Author's Responsibilities

  1. The author must present the text of his/her thoughts or researches results clearly, honestly, and without duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism.
  2. The author is responsible for the confirmation submitted for the written text.
  3. The author must show a reference to the opinions and works of others quoted.
  4. The author must write the script ethically, honestly, and responsibly, in accordance with the applicable scientific writing rules.
The author does not mind if the text is edited in the process of review and layout without changing the substance or main idea of the writing.


References Management

In writing Citation and Bibliography, Syifa Al-Qulub Journal uses Mendeley's Reference Management Software.


Screening Plagiarism

Every submitted paper will go through plagiarism screening by Turnitin.


Publication Frequensy

Syifa al-Qulub Journal is published twice a year in June and December.
