Author Guidelines

A. GENERAL GUIDELINES

  1. Manuscript sent to the editor of Tamkin: Jurnal Pengembangan Masyarakat Islam in the form of writing the results of research.
  2. Posts have never been published in other media. If the article or part of the article has been published or presented, then the author must include the statement.
  3. The manuscript is written in standard Indonesian or English, using Garamond 12 font, A4 paper size, 2.5 cm top margin, 2.5 cm bottom, 2.5 cm right, and 2.5 cm left with line density 1 space.
  4. The length of the manuscript sent between 5000 s.d. 7000 words (including abstracts, images, graphs/tables, and references). While the abstract is written in Indonesian and English between 150 - 300 words and is accompanied by 3-5 keywords.
  5. Posts sent via online submission at http://journal.uinsgd.ac.id/index.php/cjik
  6. Manuscripts entered into the editorial will go through a double-blind review process by a free partner and a decision "accepted" is determined by the Editor. Manuscript that is published will be edited again by the editor without changing the substance.

B. TECHNICAL GUIDELINES

Title

  1. The title is concise, effective and informative, with a maximum of 12 words¸ including conjunctions.
  2. Font Garamond 12, with a line spacing of 1 space.
  3. The manuscript is accompanied by the author's identity which includes: Author's name without an academic degree (Garamond letters 12 in bold), institutional affiliation of the author, address of the institution, and e-mail (Garamond 10, spacing 1 space).
  4. Institutional affiliation of the writer follows the place where the person concerned is active.
  5. Author's name and order of authors (if more than one author) based on the amount of contribution and participation in conducting research and report writing and all authors are responsible for the contents of the manuscript.

Author's Identity

  1. The manuscript is accompanied by the author's identity which includes: Author's name without an academic degree (Garamond letters 12 in bold), institutional affiliation of the author, address of the institution, and e-mail (Garamond 10, spacing 1 space).
  2. Institutional affiliation of the writer follows the place where the person concerned is active.
  3. Author's name and order of authors (if more than one author) based on the amount of contribution and participation in conducting research and report writing and all authors are responsible for the contents of the manuscript.

Abstract

  1. The abstract is written concisely and factually, covering research objectives, research methods, results, and conclusions.
  2. Abstracts are written in English and Indonesian, abstract lengths range from 150 - 200 words in one paragraph, Garamond letters 10.

Keywords

  1. Keywords consist of 3-5 words and / or groups of words.
  2. Italically typed words (italics), between keywords separated by semicolons (;)

C. SYSTEMATIC WRITING

Article writing consists of:

INTRODUCTION

  1. Introduction written using a large Garamond 12 font, spaced 1 spacing and bolded. The contents of the introduction are written using the 12 pt Garamond font, straight margin. with spaces below 6 pt.
  2. The introduction should contain background research, related research that has ever existed, expectations to be achieved from writing, scientific benefits and novelty of writing and the purpose of writing and research methods. Generally, the introduction is not too extensive, about 2 pages or a maximum of 20% of the total writing;

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

  1. The results and discussion are written using 12 large Garamond fonts, spaced 1 spaced apart and bolded. The contents of the results and discussion are written using the 12 pt Garamond font, straight margin. with spaces below 6 pt.
  2. The presentations in the results and discussion are written clearly and concisely containing the findings of the research results, the difference between the results or research findings with the previous writings of other researchers; The discussion contains a description and analysis of the results of the study.
  3. Results and discussion can be combined appropriately or can use small subtitles in accordance with the needs of the discussion.
  4. Simplify tables and use open tables, and map images are more focused on the object under study and not too large and complicated file sizes (attempted in JPG format); tables and figures are numbered sequentially. Example of writing a table: Table 3.
  5. The reference citation source technique uses body note, with APA Style format. For details see examples in the technical provisions of the quoting mechanism.

CONCLUSION

  1. The conclusion is written using Garamond 12 font, 1 spacing and bolded. The contents of the conclusion are written using the 12 pt Garamond font, straight margins. with spaces below 6 pt.
  2. conclusion contains conclusions that answer the purpose of writing the script, scientific development in accordance with the study area. its usefulness for publication in journals and the possibility of applying or developing research. Also, write suggestions for further research.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

  1. Acknowledgments are written using the large Garamond 12 font, 1 space spaced and bolded. The contents of the thank you note were written using the 12 pt Garamond font, straight margin. with spaces below 6 pt.
  2. This section is tentative, may or may not, contain thanks to funding agencies, and/or individuals who have assisted in conducting research and writing scripts.

 

BIBLIOGRAPHY

  1. The bibliography is written using 12 large Garamond fonts, spaced 1 spacing and bolded.
  2. Literature included in bibliography only contains sources that are referred to or quoted in the manuscript.
  3. Reference sources referred to in the manuscript should refer to one or several scientific journal manuscripts.
  4. Manuscripts should refer to or quote one or more of the articles of the Da'wah Journal: Academic Journal for Homiletic Studies.
  5. The technique of writing a bibliography, using the APA Style citation system More can be seen in the technical provisions of bibliography writing.

 

D. Quotation Mechanism

The source of the library in the description uses the APA Style format, with the following conditions:

  1. One-person author, write the author's last name, year of publication: citation page. Example: (Kusnawan, 2000: 21) or ... in Kusnawan (2000: 21).
  2. Author of more than one person, write the last name of the first author followed by et.al, year of publication: page. Example: (Muhyiddin, et.al, 2010: 100) or ... according to Muhyiddin, et.al, (2010: 100).

The format of writing a bibliography or bibliography used in the Da'wah Journal is based on the APA Style Guide as the following example:

Submission Preparation Checklist
