Abstract

This study was aimed at describing Arabic language teaching which is based on gender perspective at Pesantren Darunnajah Jakarta. Method applied to describe data was inferential descriptive. This method was used to describe, and organize systematically Arabic language teaching at Darunnajah then it drew conclusion based on the data gathered. The findings showed that Arabic language textbook had no material indicating gender bias. The involvement of male and female student in Arabic language material had no bias gender issues. However there was a little content og gender bias when dealing with activities and role of women either visually or textually. Textbook written by D. Hidayat featured: content on text concerning Muhammad SAW history,  Siti Khadijah role and Indonesian women activities in the country.

  • The values of gender can be sisteamtis to socialization through teaching. In the teaching process there are several components, that is participants, teachers, learning materials, teaching process, and evaluation. One effort in teaching gender socialization that can be done through the teaching of the Arabic language. In terms of results, gender based Arabic language teaching can be said to be successful if it meets the following indicators: Changes mastery of knowledge of Arabic and gender and attitudes and behavior in an integrated manner on the learner. Similarly, it is necessary to do research on Gender Analysis in Teaching Arabic. Study analysis of this study is set to focus on the teaching of Arabic language study in Pesantren Darussalam Ciamis and Darunnajah Jakarta. Determination Pesantren Darussalam Ciamis and Darunnajah Jakarta for analysis by the teaching of Arabic language gender perspective assuming adequate teaching Arabic language and Arabic reckoned academia, as well as teach and implement Islamic values in the curriculum of the institution. So that the values of gender can automatically be considerate and caring and seeks mengintegrasikannnya in teaching Arabic at both institutions.
