Religious: Jurnal Studi Agama-agama dan Lintas Budaya [Journal of Religious and Cross-cultural Studies] is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of scholarly research on Religious and socio-cultural studies. 

Religious: Jurnal Studi Agama-agama dan Lintas Budaya [Journal of Religious and Cross-cultural Studies] is published by Department of Religious Studies, Ushuluddin Faculty, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Indonesia; and in collaboration with ASAI: Asosiasi Studi Agama Indonesia.

Beginning with Volume 4 (2020), Religious: Jurnal Studi Agama-agama dan Lintas Budaya [Journal of Religious and Cross-cultural Studies] will publish articles online immediately upon final acceptance, thus making journal content more quickly available to scholars, policy-makers, and practitioners.

As of 2020, the Religious: Jurnal Studi Agama-agama dan Lintas Budaya [Journal of Religious and Cross-cultural Studies] will increase its publishing frequency from 2 to 3 issues per year, which is published in April, August and December.

The review process in this journal employs a double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.

Call for Papers: Religious Special Collection 2021 – Religion and Culture in Tourism Studies

 

To have your paper considered for this Special Collection, submit by December 31, 2020.

Overview

Tourism is highly impacted by religion and culture. In tourism studies, the impact of religion and culture could be investigated at least in these three points of view: (1) its impact on the supply of tourism, (2) the relationship between religion, culture, and tourism, and (3) tourists' behavior. In Indonesia, topics relating to the relationship between tourism, religion, and culture are also emerging. Some of the related issues are halal tourism, religious festivals and ceremonies as tourism attractions, religious place as tourism attractions, the impact of religion and culture to service in accommodations, Storynomic Tourism that adapts religious pilgrimage stories, and others. As a section in Jurnal Studi Agama-agama dan Lintas Budaya (Journal of Religious and Cross-cultural Studies), the section on Religion and Culture in Tourism Studies would include reviewed articles in the following topics:

  1. Religion and Local Culture in Tourism 
  2. Religion and Local Culture in Hospitality Industry 
  3. Religion and Culture in Tourism Vocational Education

Call for Guest Editor

 

The governing objectives of the Religious: Jurnal Studi Agama-Agama dan Lintas Budaya [Journal of Religious and Cross-Cultural Studies] for submission with respect to a Special issue are (a) scholarly excellence, (b) relevance to Religious, and (c) newness and significance of the topic.

Proposals concerning any topic of Religious will be welcome for consideration by the Editor-in-Chief. In order to arrive at a decision with respect to a proposal for a Special Issueor Symposium, the Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the Editorial Board at the journal, will review the submitted proposal and may recommend (a) acceptance, (b) revisions, or (c) rejection of the proposal.
