Media sosial sudah menjadi salah satu mitra kerja wartawan dalam menjalankan pekerjaannya di dunia jurnalistik. Hampir semua wartawan mempunyai akun media sosial pribadi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana perspektif wartawan Kota Bandung terhadap Media Sosial. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekaran kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemanfaatan media sosial dalam kehidupan sehari-hari wartawan Kota Bandung dikategorikan menjadi dua yakni untuk berkomunikasi dan sebagai ajang promosi. Selanjutnya pemanfataan media sosial sebagai sumber berita menurut perspektif wartawan Kota Bandung dikategorikan menjadi dua yakni sebagai data awal dan sebagai bahan konfirmasi. Kualitas informasi yang bersumber dari media sosial, wartawan Kota Bandung mempunyai dua kategori mengenai informasi yang berkualitas, yakni yang mengandung nilai berita dan tidak mengandung informasi hoax.

ABSTRACT
Social media has become one of the work partners of a journalist in carrying out his work in the world of journalism. Almost all journalists have personal social media accounts. The purpose of this study is to find out how the perspective of Bandung City journalists on Social Media. The research method uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The resultsÂ
of the study show that the use of social media in the daily lives of Bandung City journalists is categorized into two, namely to communicate and as a promotional event. Furthermore, the use of social media as a source of news according to the perspective of Bandung City journalists is categorized into two, namely as initial data and as confirmation material. And the quality of information sourced from social media, Bandung City journalists have two categories regarding quality information, namely those that contain news value and do not contain hoax information.
