Author Guidelines

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Terms of submitting manuscript:

  1. Article is written originally by one or many writers in the scope of Teaching & Learning in biology education; Material Learning in biology education; Learning Media/Multimedia in biology education; Evaluation & Assessment in biology education; Higher Order Thinking Skills in biology education; Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education; Biology Content Learning Strategy in biology education; School Laboratory Experiment in biology education; Integrating Islamic and Culture Values with Biology Education. The article contains 10-15 pages. The article’s systematics consists of Preface, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and reference.
  2. Manuscript is written in A4 paper with Gisha font style, 12 font size, single line spacing. The size of the left and right margins are 2 cm each, the upper and bottom margins of 3 cm each. The form of the text is in the form of 2 columns with a distance between columns of 1 cm. The distance between paragraphs is one single line space.
  3. Title: no more than 12 words.
  4. Full paper can be written in Indonesian or English.
  5. Author(s) name: is fully writen without any title.
  6. Institution: is completely stated, including the study program and the institution name.
  7. Corresponding author: includes name, phone number, email address, and the address that can be used for for us to send you a journal.

Abstract:

  1. Abstract is written in English.
  2. The content is based on the problem, the main method used, the main result that answer the problem stated, and two sentences of discussion that explain the results.
  3. Keywords (3-5 keywords).

Content:

The content of article consists of preface, methode, results, and discussion. The clossing, aknowledment, and references are also the part of article content.

1. Preface

Preface mainly contains 1) the research problem, 2) the insight and problem solving plan, 3) the research aim(s), and 4) the resume of the theoretical study. Sometimes, in this part, author stated the result that is intended to be reached by the researcher through the study. 

2. Method

Basically, this part explains how the research is done. The main content of this part are 1) research design, 2) population and sample, 3) the technics of collecting data and instruments developing, and 4) the technics of data analyzing. Any tool and material used in the research should be mentioned specifically.

3. Results and Discussion

The results appeared in this part should be the main result. The data analysis process such as statistical calculation, hypothetical testing process are no need to be presented. Tables and chart can be used to explain the result presented verbally, and should be commented or discussed.

4. Closing

This part contains summary and suggestion. Summary presents the resume of the results and discussion of the article, and is based on the aim of research. The suggestion can be based on practical action, new theory developing, and/or further research.

5. Acknowledgment (optional)

Acknowledgment to the certain parties, such as research sponsorship, should be stated clearly and concisely.

6. References

References should contain at least  80% references from scientific journal which recently 5 years. While, there is no publication year limitation for references from books.  Here are the format of the references:
