Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang sering muncul di kelas diantaranya kurang aktif dan minat siswa di dalam kelas. Dengan demikian diperlukan adanya langkah-langkah yang sistematis untuk melaksanakan proses pembelajaran sehingga mencapai hasil belajar anak didik yang maksimal, karena dasar pandangan itu upaya untuk pengembangan strategi belajar mengajar ditujukan pada Strategi Belajar Aktif (Active Learning Strategy.
Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsikan penerapan strategi belajar aktif (Active Learning Strategy)dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa di MTs Nurul Yaqin Besuki, dan untuk mengetahui factor pendukung dan penghambat Strategi belajar aktif dalam meningkatkan kreatifitas belajar. Sesuai dengan fokus kajian dalam penelitian ini dipergunakan Pendekatan Kualitatif, jenis data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, Dokumentasi.
Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam meningkatkan kreatifitas belajar bahasa Arab siswa MTs Nurul Yaqin Besuki, guru menggunakan beberapa strategi diantaranya Permainan, Tanya Jawab,Visualisasi Dialog dan Evaluasi. Namun dari strategi tersebut ditemukan faktor pendukung yang berupa kemauan siswa dan profesionalisme guru sedangkan penghambat berupa sarana dan prasarana dan kurangnya jam pelajaran dan ekstrakurikuler bahasa Arab.
