Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan oleh peneliti untuk mengetahui bagaimana adanya proses bilingualisme dalam pembeljaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Arab di Pondok Pesantren Islamic Center Limbangan, Di Pondok ini para santri dan santriwati diwajibkan untuk berbicara bahasa Arab dan tahap awal daripada keterampilan berbicara bahasa Arab adalah pembentukan lingkungan dan pembiasaan. Untuk meneliti bagaimana terjadinya proses bilingualisme dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Arab di pondok ini, peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif untuk menemukan data-data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara yang dilakukan oleh peneliti kepada para beberapa pihak terkait, ditemukan beberapa hasil, diantaranya bahwa memang benar dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Arab di pondok ini terdapat perpaduan bahasa atau bilingualisme yaitu bahasa Arab dan bahasa Indonesia dalam berbicata sehari-hari, namun hal ini menjadi suatu yang utama untuk membentuk pembiasaan dan menciptakan lingkungan berbahasa. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan bilingualisme tidak terjadi dengan sengaja melainkan bagian daripada proses pembelajaran bahasa di Pondok ini.
