Allegation Policy
Jurnal AGRO is committed to responding fairly, confidentially, and consistently to concerns about the integrity of submitted or published research. Concerns may involve fabrication, falsification, image manipulation, plagiarism, duplicate publication, unethical research, compromised peer review, undisclosed competing interests, authorship manipulation, citation manipulation, or systematic publication fraud.
Reporting concerns
Any reader, reviewer, author, editor, or other stakeholder may submit a good-faith allegation to the editorial office using the official Contact page. Reports should identify the article or manuscript and provide specific evidence where possible. Anonymous concerns may be assessed when they contain credible, verifiable information. The journal will protect confidential information to the extent permitted by applicable law and legitimate investigation needs, and will not retaliate against a person for raising a concern in good faith.
Assessment and investigation
The Editor-in-Chief, or an uninvolved independent editor if a conflict exists, will make an initial assessment, preserve relevant records, evaluate the evidence, and seek a response from the authors or other parties where appropriate. Suspected misconduct may require consultation with the publisher, research institutions, ethics committees, or other journals. Institutions ordinarily investigate the conduct of their researchers; the journal is responsible for decisions needed to safeguard its published record.
Outcomes, fairness, and appeals
Possible outcomes include no further action, a request for clarification or correction, rejection of a manuscript, referral to a competent institution, an expression of concern, correction, or retraction. Decisions will be proportionate to the evidence and the seriousness of the concern. Parties involved will be given an appropriate opportunity to respond, and relevant appeal requests may be considered by an editor not involved in the initial determination.
The journal follows the relevant COPE guidance and flowcharts and will prioritize the accuracy of the published record over reputational or financial considerations. Editorial decisions must not be affected by the payment of publication charges.
