Vol. 5 No. 2 (2022): Temali: Jurnal Pembangunan Sosial

All articles in this issue (8 original research articles) were authored or co-authored by 22 scholars from 8 institutions across 2 countries—Indonesia and Malaysia—representing a variety of academic disciplines and perspectives. This issue covers a range of important topics, including the exploitation of street children by their parents in Pasir Koja, Bandung, and the elderly from the perspective of Minangkabau Nagari Aie Dingin in Solok Regency, West Sumatra. It also examines the roots of violence in the rivalry between football club fans and supporters through Johan Galtung's ABC Triangle Theory. Additionally, the issue explores the role of ex-industrial SMEs in fostering economic prosperity for the residents of Wedoro Village, the commodification and shifting functions of the Ngadatangkeun tradition in Sundanese society, and Sufism healing methods used for drug rehabilitation at Inabah in West Java. Other articles focus on designing a model for information dissemination about the Pulo Traditional Village tourism area through booklets and leaflets, and the adaptation patterns of middle-class communities to the Village SDGs program in Bogor Regency. These studies collectively reinforce the journal's commitment to promoting critical, contextual, and interdisciplinary research in social development.
