Peer Review Process
All manuscripts will undergo the following process:
1. Initial Screening
Manuscript articles that are submitted online to BELTIC Journal will be checked by the board of editors regarding scope, in-house style, and plagiarism.
2. Double-blind Peer Review
The manuscript that qualifies the focus and scope of BELTIC Journal will be reviewed by two reviewers with double-blind commitment. The reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:
- Relevance and originality of the topic
- Conceptual framework and methodological robustness
- Coherence and clarity
- Depth of analysis and interpretation
- Contribution to the field of English language education in Islamic context, linguistics, or literature
3. Review Outcome
The editorial will decide on the manuscript based on reviewers’ recommendations. i.e.:
- Accept
- Minor Revisions Required
- Major Revisions Required
- Reject
The editor-in-chief makes the final decision and communicates it to the corresponding author, along with anonymized reviewer comments.
4. Revision & Re-review
If the reviewers ask for revisions, the authors are required to provide an updated manuscript accompanied by a comprehensive document detailing their responses to each reviewer’s critiques. For a major revision, it may be sent back to the initial reviewer for the second evaluation.
5. Proofread & Final Decision
Once a manuscript is accepted, it undergoes final editing and proofreading before publication.
6. Publication
The BELTIC Journal will publish all accepted papers in its next issue, ensuring they are fully accessible online to all readers.
