Author Guidelines

General Author Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must be written in English, following the official journal template, and have never been published, nor are they under consideration for publication elsewhere, and must be free from plagiarism (maximum similarity index allowed is 20%).

  • Manuscripts can be in the form of quantitative research, qualitative research (case studies), or literature reviews.

  • Authors are required to register as users on the journal's submission system before submitting manuscripts.

  • All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer-review process before being accepted for publication in Finansha: Journal of Sharia Financial Management.

  • Starting in 2024, all articles must be written entirely in English following the latest Finansha template, which can be downloaded from the journal's website.

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

The structure of the manuscript must strictly follow the Finansha template with the following components:

1. Title

  • The title must be clear, concise (maximum 18 words), written in uppercase, bold, using Segoe UI 12 pt, and centered.

  • The title should reflect the key topic without using uncommon abbreviations.

2. Authors and Affiliations

  • Full names of all authors (maximum 6 authors) without academic degrees or titles.

  • Include institutional affiliations, institutional addresses, and email addresses for all authors.

  • One author should be designated as the corresponding author.

3. Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract must be written in English only, using Book Antiqua, 10 pt, single spacing, within 150-250 words.

  • The abstract must include: background, research objectives, methods, results, and implications/contributions.

  • Provide 3-5 specific keywords, arranged alphabetically, separated by semicolons.

4. Article Structure

Introduction

  • Written using Garamond 13 pt, single spacing, no extra space before/after paragraphs.

  • Must clearly state the research phenomenon, literature gap, research position among existing studies, and contributions to future scholarship.

  • Citations should use APA 7th Edition, managed with Mendeley or Zotero, referencing:

    • Minimum 10 articles from reputable international journals (last 10 years)

    • Minimum 5 reputable books

    • Relevant national articles

    • Mandatory citation of 2 articles from Finansha

Literature Review

  • Systematic discussion of previous studies, theories, concepts, and hypothesis development (if applicable).

  • Explain research novelty and conceptual framework.

  • Font: Garamond 13 pt, single spacing.

  • Citation requirements are identical to the Introduction section.

Research Methods

  • Must clearly describe research design, data collection, variables, analysis techniques, and tools/software used.

  • For quantitative research: include classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity), and validity & reliability tests for questionnaires.

  • For qualitative case studies: explain interview processes, document analysis, and data triangulation.

  • For literature reviews: explain database search strategy and inclusion criteria.

  • Font: Garamond 13 pt, single spacing.

  • Follow the same citation rules as previous sections.

Results and Discussion

  • For quantitative research, separate Results and Discussion sections.

  • For qualitative research, Results and Discussion are combined, structured with appropriate subheadings.

  • Tables, figures, and charts should be clear, concise, and accompanied by interpretations.

  • Font: Garamond 13 pt, single spacing.

  • Discussion must relate findings to previous research, theories, and practical implications.

  • Sub-sections allowed but unnumbered, written in bold.

Conclusion

  • Written in paragraph format, Garamond 13 pt, single spacing.

  • Provide clear answers to research questions, implications, theoretical and practical contributions, limitations, and suggestions for future research.

References

  • Managed with Mendeley or Zotero, using APA 7th Edition.

  • Minimum references include:

    • 10 international journal articles (published within the last 10 years)

    • 5 reputable books

    • National articles

    • Mandatory 2 articles from Finansha
