Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Finansha: Journal of Sharia Financial Management is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published biannually (June and December) by the Sharia Financial Management Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, in collaboration with the Association of Sharia Financial Management Study Programs (Asprodi MKS). The journal focuses on developing innovative theories, concepts, and methodologies in the field of Sharia financial management and related disciplines.
This journal serves as a platform for researchers, academics, and practitioners to discuss issues in Islamic Economics, Finance, Banking, Accounting, and other related fields. It also aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice and contribute to solving social problems.
This ethical statement outlines the responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher, and is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Best Practice Guidelines.
1. Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication
The publication of scientific articles in Finansha contributes to the development of a respected body of knowledge in Sharia financial management and related fields. It reflects the quality and integrity of the authors' work and their supporting institutions. All parties involved—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—must uphold high ethical standards to ensure the credibility of scholarly communication.
The publisher, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, supported by Asprodi MKS, is committed to maintaining the integrity of the publication process. Editorial decisions remain independent and unaffected by advertising, reprint, or other commercial interests.
2. Editorial Responsibilities
- Publication Decisions: Editors determine which articles are suitable for publication based on quality, originality, relevance, and compliance with legal requirements.
- Plagiarism Screening: Manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using offline databases and online tools.
- Fair Play: Manuscripts are evaluated without discrimination.
- Confidentiality: Manuscripts are treated as confidential.
- Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Unpublished materials cannot be used by editors without consent.
3. Reviewer Responsibilities
- Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer review assists editors.
- Promptness: Reviewers should notify if unable to review.
- Confidentiality: Manuscripts are confidential.
- Objectivity: Reviews must be constructive and evidence-based.
- Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers should identify uncited work.
- Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Reviewers should decline if conflicts exist.
- Review Process: Manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.
4. Author Responsibilities
- Reporting Standards: Authors must report accurately.
- Originality and Plagiarism: Manuscripts must be original.
- Multiple Publications: Concurrent submissions are unethical.

- Authorship: Authorship reflects significant contributions.
- Hazards and Human/Animal Subjects: Hazards and ethical research standards must be declared.

5. Allegations of Research Misconduct
