Publication Ethics
The Review Policy implemented by JAQFI: Jurnal Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam includes the following stages:
- Submitted manuscripts will undergo a review process by reviewers.
- The Review Process employs Double Blind Review, meaning reviewers are unaware of the author's identity, and authors are also unaware of the reviewer's identity.
- During the review process, reviewers assess the congruence among the title, abstract, discussion (findings), and conclusion. Additionally, reviewers evaluate novelty, scholarly impact, and references used.
Editorial Responsibilities:
- Editors are responsible for deciding which articles are suitable for publication through editorial board meetings. Editors are guided by the journal's editorial policy and constrained by legal requirements related to defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism.
- In the article acceptance process, the editorial team operates based on the principle of equal treatment.
- During the journal review and publication decision-making process, the editorial team does not discriminate based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political ideology of the authors.
- Editors and the editorial team will not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts or articles without the author's permission.
- Unpublished manuscripts (articles) submitted for consideration will not be used by the editorial team's own research and will be returned directly to the author.
Reviewer Responsibilities:
- Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions about submitted manuscripts/articles.
- Reviewers are responsible for providing recommendations on the reviewed articles.
- Manuscript review is conducted objectively and supported by clear arguments.
- Reviewers are responsible for citations, references, and identifying plagiarism in the reviewed article.
- Reviewers maintain the confidentiality of information for personal gain.
Author Responsibilities:
- Authors must present their thought or research results clearly, honestly, and without plagiarism or data manipulation.
- Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the information presented in their articles.
- Authors must adhere to publication requirements, including originality, non-plagiarism, and not having been published in other journals or publications.
- Authors must appropriately reference opinions and works of others that are cited.
- Authors must write manuscripts or articles ethically, honestly, and responsibly, following applicable scientific writing regulations.
- Authors are prohibited from submitting/publishing the same article in more than one journal or publication.
- Authors do not object to the editing of the manuscript without changing its substance or main ideas.
Publisher Responsibilities:
- The Department of Religious Philosophy, as the publisher of JAQFI: Jurnal Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam, is responsible for publishing articles that have gone through the editing, peer review, and layout processes according to the rules of scientific journal publication.
- The Department of Religious Philosophy, as the publisher of JAQFI: Jurnal Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam, ensures academic freedom for editors and reviewers in carrying out their respective duties.
- The Department of Religious Philosophy, as the publisher of JAQFI: Jurnal Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam, is responsible for safeguarding privacy, protecting intellectual property rights and copyrights, as well as maintaining editorial freedom.
