Focus and Scope

JAQFI: Jurnal Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam is a journal that publishes the latest results of original studies and research in the field of pure Islamic Philosophy and Aqidah (Islamic Theology). Its coverage includes contemporary philosophy, education, social issues, and religious matters from both philosophical and theological perspectives. The aim of this periodic journal is to enhance the intensity of research in Islamic Philosophy and Aqidah, to introduce new theories, and contextualize them for intellectual development.

Scope of JAQFI: Journal of Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy includes:

Peer Review Process

Review policy implemented by JAQFI: Jurnal Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam includes the following stages:

  1. Submitted manuscripts will undergo a review process by reviewers.
  2. The review process utilizes Double Blind Review, meaning reviewers are unaware of the authors' identities, and vice versa.
  3. During the review process, reviewers assess the alignment between the title, abstract, discussion (findings), and conclusion. Additionally, reviewers evaluate novelty, scholarly impact, and the references used.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

This journal is open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to users or / institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full text articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or author. This is in accordance with Budapest Open Access Initiative

 

Publication Ethic

he Review Policy implemented by JAQFI: Jurnal Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam includes the following stages:

  1. Submitted manuscripts will undergo a review process by reviewers.
  2. The Review Process employs Double Blind Review, meaning reviewers are unaware of the author's identity, and authors are also unaware of the reviewer's identity.
  3. During the review process, reviewers assess the congruence among the title, abstract, discussion (findings), and conclusion. Additionally, reviewers evaluate novelty, scholarly impact, and references used.

Editorial Responsibilities:

  1. Editors are responsible for deciding which articles are suitable for publication through editorial board meetings. Editors are guided by the journal's editorial policy and constrained by legal requirements related to defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism.
  2. In the article acceptance process, the editorial team operates based on the principle of equal treatment.
  3. During the journal review and publication decision-making process, the editorial team does not discriminate based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political ideology of the authors.
  4. Editors and the editorial team will not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts or articles without the author's permission.
  5. Unpublished manuscripts (articles) submitted for consideration will not be used by the editorial team's own research and will be returned directly to the author.

Reviewer Responsibilities:

  1. Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions about submitted manuscripts/articles.
  2. Reviewers are responsible for providing recommendations on the reviewed articles.
  3. Manuscript review is conducted objectively and supported by clear arguments.
  4. Reviewers are responsible for citations, references, and identifying plagiarism in the reviewed article.
  5. Reviewers maintain the confidentiality of information for personal gain.

Author Responsibilities:

  1. Authors must present their thought or research results clearly, honestly, and without plagiarism or data manipulation.
  2. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the information presented in their articles.
  3. Authors must adhere to publication requirements, including originality, non-plagiarism, and not having been published in other journals or publications.
  4. Authors must appropriately reference opinions and works of others that are cited.
  5. Authors must write manuscripts or articles ethically, honestly, and responsibly, following applicable scientific writing regulations.
  6. Authors are prohibited from submitting/publishing the same article in more than one journal or publication.
  7. Authors do not object to the editing of the manuscript without changing its substance or main ideas.

Publisher Responsibilities:

  1. The Department of Religious Philosophy, as the publisher of JAQFI: Jurnal Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam, is responsible for publishing articles that have gone through the editing, peer review, and layout processes according to the rules of scientific journal publication.
  2. The Department of Religious Philosophy, as the publisher of JAQFI: Jurnal Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam, ensures academic freedom for editors and reviewers in carrying out their respective duties.
  3. The Department of Religious Philosophy, as the publisher of JAQFI: Jurnal Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam, is responsible for safeguarding privacy, protecting intellectual property rights and copyrights, as well as maintaining editorial freedom.

 

Palgiarism Policy

Plagiarism Policy:

  1. Submitted articles will undergo plagiarism checking.
  2. Articles with 100% plagiarism will be automatically rejected.
  3. If an article is suspected to have a high level of plagiarism (60% or more), it will not be considered for publication automatically.
  4. Articles with a 50-50 plagiarism ratio will be evaluated by the editorial board and reviewers for potential publication.

 

Reference Management

In manuscript writing, authors are recommended to use the Mendeley application.
