Publication Ethics Statement
All parties involved in the process of publishing or publication of the JPIB, whether Manager, Editor, Reviewer, or the Author must understand and adhere to the norms or ethics of scientific publications.
This Statement is based on the Head of LIPI Regulation no. 5 year 2014 on Kode Etik Publikasi Ilmiah.
In essence, the scientific work for publication should uphold the three ethical values of publication, namely; (i) Neutrality, free from conflict of interest in the management of publications; (ii) Justice, which authorizes authors to those authorized as authors or authors; (iii) Honesty, i.e. free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publication.
The description :
A. Duplication is an article publication of more than one channel without perfection, content update, data, and / or no citation in previous publications;
B. Fabrication is the act of making data, nothing becomes as if it exists, without proving to have done the research process;
C. Counterfeiting is to alter the data with the intent to conform to the researcher's wishes through the manipulation of research material, or research process, alter or exclude certain data or results in such a way that the research is not presented accurately;
D. Plagiarism is misuse by the use or inclusion of ideas, thoughts, processes, objects, and research results, whether in the form of data or words / phrases, including research materials, research plans, and manuscripts without listing the source as an appreciation of existing scientific works first.
Journal Manager Duties and Responsibilities
- Determine the name of the journal, scope of science, publication frequency, and submission of accreditation if necessary.
- Determine the board editor's membership.
- Define the relationship between publishers, editors, reviewers, and others in a contract.
- Appreciate the things that are confidential, both for contributing researchers, authors / authors, editors, and reviewers.
- Apply the norms and provisions on intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
- Take a journal policy review and present it to authors / authors, editorial boards, reviewers, and readers.
- Make code guides behave for editors and reviewers.
- Publish the journal regularly.
- Ensure availability of funding sources for sustainability of journal publishing.
- Establish network of cooperation and marketing.
- Preparing permissions and other legality aspects.
