Author Guidelines
General Guidelines
- Manuscripts must be written in English or Indonesian and must not have been published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere. The content should be original and free from plagiarism.
- Manuscripts may be in the form of research articles, case studies, or literature reviews.
- Authors are required to register as an author before submitting their manuscripts. The registration and submission guidelines can be found at the end of this page.
- Manuscripts will be published in Jurnal Riset Agama only after undergoing a peer-review process.
- Authors must follow the journal’s manuscript template.
Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
1. Title
- The title should be concise, informative, and not exceed 20 words.
- It should clearly reflect the research problem, method, and main findings.
- The title must not contain uncommon abbreviations.
2. Authors and Affiliations
- Author names should be listed without academic titles or job positions.
- Include the institutional affiliation and email address of each author.
3. Abstract
- The abstract should be a single paragraph of no more than 250 words.
- It should provide a structured summary including:
- Background – Briefly introduce the research context and significance.
- Objective – State the study's purpose and key research question.
- Methods – Outline the methodology or theoretical framework used.
- Results – Summarize the main findings.
- Conclusion – Highlight key interpretations and recommendations.
- The abstract should be written in both English and Indonesian.
4. Keywords
- Provide 3 to 5 relevant keywords, separated by semicolons (;).
- Keywords should be listed in alphabetical order and represent the main topics of the article.
5. Introduction
- The introduction should:
- Clearly define the research background, significance, and objectives.
- Review the state of existing research and highlight key gaps.
- Present the theoretical framework and main research question.
- The research method should be briefly introduced in this section.
- Citations should follow APA 7th edition style (e.g., Kamba, 2018 or Miller & Josephs, 2009, p. 12).
6. Methods
- This section should describe:
- The research approach (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-method).
- Participants or subjects, including inclusion/exclusion criteria.
- Data collection techniques, instruments, and analysis methods.
- If using secondary data or literature review, specify the main sources used.
7. Results
- Results should be supported by relevant data and analysis.
- Tables, figures, and diagrams should be numbered and referred to in the text.
- For quantitative research, statistical results should be presented clearly.
8. Discussion
- The discussion should:
- Interpret the findings in relation to the research question.
- Compare results with previous studies and theoretical perspectives.
- Address implications, limitations, and future research directions.
9. Conclusion
- The conclusion should:
- Summarize the main research findings.
- Highlight practical implications and recommendations.
- Suggest directions for future research.
- Do not simply repeat the abstract or discussion.
10. References
- The reference list should contain only sources cited in the manuscript.
- Authors are required to use reference management software (e.g., Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero) to format citations in APA 7th edition.
- 80% of references should be journal articles published within the last five years.
- The number of references should be at least 15.

Manuscript Formatting Requirements
- File format: Manuscripts must be submitted in .doc or .docx format (not PDF).
- Font: Book Antiqua, size 12, single-spaced.
- Margins: Normal (1 inch on all sides).
- Article length: Between 3,000 to 7,500 words.
- Tables and Figures: Must be numbered and captioned.
Plagiarism and Originality Policy
- The manuscript must be original and not previously published.
- The maximum similarity index allowed is 20%, checked via Turnitin.
- Any detected plagiarism will result in immediate rejection or revisions.
Submission Process
- Register as an Author on the journal’s website.
- Follow the manuscript template and prepare your article accordingly.
- Submit the manuscript via the online submission system.
- The editorial team will conduct initial screening for plagiarism and compliance with journal standards.
- The manuscript will be sent for double-blind peer review.
- Authors will receive feedback for revisions (if necessary) before final acceptance.
- Once accepted, the article will proceed to copyediting, layout, and publication.
