Analisis Hadis Bahasa Arab adalah Bahasa Penduduk Surga dan Relevansinya terhadap Motivasi Belajar Bahasa Arab

This study aims to analyze a hadith that states Arabic is the language of the inhabitants of heaven and examines its relevance as a motivational factor in learning Arabic. The hadith in question is narrated by Imam al-Tabarani, number 5729, which says, "Love Arabic for three reasons: because I am an Arab, the Qur'an is in Arabic, and because the language of the inhabitants of heaven is Arabic." The research uses a qualitative approach based on a literature review. The primary sources analyzed include classical hadith books such as Muʿjam al-Awsat by Imam al-Tabarani, Syuʿab al-Iman by Imam al-Bayhaqi, and al-Mustadrak ʿala al-Ṣahihayn by Imam al-Hakim. Supporting data were gathered from various books, journals, and other relevant sources. Data collection was carried out using the takhrij hadith method, aided by the Jawamiʿ al-Kalim application, followed by criticism of the sanad and matan of the hadith. The study's findings indicate that the hadith is classified as weak due to two narrators considered unreliable by hadith scholars, namely al-ʿAlaʾ bin ʿAmr al-Hanafi and Yahya bin Buraid al-Asyʿari. However, in educational and preaching contexts, weak hadith can still be used for motivational purposes, provided it relates to the encouragement of good deeds and not legal or faith-based matters. Therefore, using this hadith to inspire enthusiasm for learning Arabic remains justifiable, as long as its status is transparently clarified. This study highlights the importance of critical scrutiny when quoting and sharing hadith to preserve the authenticity of the Prophet's sayings in a scientifically accountable manner.
