Journal History

Saksama: Jurnal Sastra was first established and published by the Faculty of Adab and Humanities at State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Gunung Djati, Bandung, in 2022. Initially launched as a printed edition to foster academic discourse in literary and cultural studies, the journal quickly integrated digital management using the Open Journal System (OJS) to expand its global reach and accessibility, publishing articles in both electronic and print formats.

Since its inception, Saksama: Jurnal Sastra has achieved significant milestones in its commitment to publishing high-quality literary research. In 2025, the journal achieved international recognition by being indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Furthermore, in 2026, the journal earned national academic accreditation under SINTA 3 (Science and Technology Index), reflecting its rigorous editorial standards and growing academic impact in the fields of literature, language, and narrative studies.
