Journal Policy
Open Access and Licensing Policy Saksama: Jurnal Sastra is a fully Open Access journal. All articles published are immediately and permanently free for everyone to read, download, copy, and distribute. To support the global exchange of knowledge in literary studies, all articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.
Peer Review Policy To ensure the highest academic quality and objectivity, Saksama mandates a strict double-blind peer-review policy for all submitted manuscripts. The identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept strictly confidential throughout the evaluation process. Plagiarism Policy Saksama: Jurnal Sastra enforces a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism. All submissions are evaluated using similarity-checking software (Turnitin). The Editorial Board applies the following thresholds:

Similarity Index > 30%: Article rejected. (If due to extremely poor paraphrasing or blatant copying, resubmission is not allowed).

Similarity Index 10–30%: Sent back to the author for significant improvement. Authors must provide correct citations and paraphrase appropriately.

Similarity Index < 10%: Accepted, though minor citation improvements may still be requested.
For manuscripts sent back for revision, authors must resubmit the article alongside a new Turnitin report demonstrating a final similarity index of less than 20%. Prior to publication, authors must sign an Originality Statement confirming legal and academic responsibility for their work.
Privacy Policy The names and email addresses entered on the Saksama: Jurnal Sastra site will be used exclusively for the stated academic and administrative purposes of this journal. They will not be made available for any other purpose or shared with any third party.
Retraction, Withdrawal, and Correction Policy Committed to the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Saksama upholds strict standards for academic integrity.

1. Retraction Policy: Articles will be retracted if there is evidence of data/text fabrication, severe plagiarism, duplicate publication, unethical research practices, or undisclosed major conflicts of interest. A formal retraction notice will be published, linked to the original article, and a watermark will be applied to the PDF.

2. Article Withdrawal Policy: Authors may request withdrawal prior to publication. However, if the manuscript has already undergone significant editorial or peer-review processing, the author will be charged a penalty fee of IDR 750,000 to cover editorial costs. The journal may also unilaterally withdraw articles pre-publication if severe scientific misconduct or double submission is discovered.

3. Correction Policy (Erratum): Corrections are issued for minor typographical errors, incorrect references that mislead the reader, authorship omissions, or necessary data updates. Corrections are clearly indicated and updated in both HTML and PDF formats.
Disputes regarding post-publication ethics are handled via formal appeals to the Editorial Board, managed promptly according to COPE standards.
Data Sharing Policy Saksama applies a "share upon reasonable request" policy. Authors must make data, literary corpuses, or media transcripts supporting their analysis available upon reasonable request, provided it does not violate copyright, privacy, or ethical constraints. Authors must cite all datasets referenced and provide a Data Availability Statement within the manuscript.
Revenue Sources, Advertising, and Direct Marketing

Revenue Sources: Saksama: Jurnal Sastra is financially supported by its publishing institution and Article Processing Charges (APCs). These funds cover operating expenses, peer-review management, copyediting, digital archiving, and Open Access hosting.

Advertising Policy: The journal does not endorse any commercial products or services. Any financial interests or institutional sponsorships do not compromise the editorial independence or the peer-review process of the published articles.

Direct Marketing: Saksama propagates its contents and calls for papers exclusively through the official journal website and academic indexing databases to ensure appropriate and unobtrusive reach to the global scholarly community.
