Electronic Archiving and Digital Preservation
Religious: Jurnal Studi Agama-Agama dan Lintas Budaya uses the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN) as its sole external digital preservation service.
This arrangement supports the long-term preservation of published scholarly content and continued access if the journal’s original publishing platform becomes permanently unavailable.

1. Preservation through PKP PN
The journal deposits eligible published content through the PKP PN plugin in Open Journal Systems (OJS), in accordance with the preservation service’s requirements and terms.
PKP PN preserves journal content independently of the journal’s primary website to support the continuity of the scholarly record.
Information about the service is available in the official PKP Preservation Network documentation .
2. Preservation Coverage and Monitoring
Preservation covers published content and associated metadata successfully deposited and processed through PKP PN. It does not cover confidential submissions, peer-review reports, or editorial correspondence.
The editorial and technical teams are responsible for monitoring deposit status and addressing failed or incomplete deposits. Preservation coverage is established by successful processing, rather than by installation or activation of the plugin alone.
Relevant deposit-status records are maintained to support verification of the journal’s preservation coverage.
3. Access to Preserved Content
PKP PN operates as a dark archive. Preserved copies are not ordinarily available for public browsing through the preservation network. Routine access remains available through the journal website.
Following a qualifying trigger event, such as the permanent loss of access through the original publishing platform, preserved content may be made publicly accessible under PKP PN procedures.
A temporary website interruption does not automatically activate access to preserved copies. Access through the service depends on successfully preserved content and the applicable trigger-event procedures.
Readers may access published issues through the Journal Archives.
4. Further Information
Enquiries about preservation arrangements or the coverage of particular issues may be directed to the editorial office through the Contact page.
Any change to the journal’s preservation arrangements will be reflected in this policy.
