About the Journal

ADLIYA: Jurnal Hukum dan Kemanusiaan (p-ISSN 1978-8312; e-ISSN 2657-2125) is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published biannually by the Faculty of Sharia and Law at State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. Specializing in legal studies and human rights, ADLIYA distinguishes itself through its interdisciplinary approach, bridging theoretical legal frameworks with socio-legal realities across local, national, regional, and global contexts. Its unique niche lies in synthesizing legal traditions, positive law, and contemporary humanitarian issues, fostering critical dialogue on the evolving role of law in addressing modern societal challenges. This integration positions ADLIYA as a pivotal platform for scholars and practitioners engaged in pluralistic legal dynamics, particularly within Indonesia’s socio-cultural landscape, while maintaining relevance to global discourses on justice and equity.

Committed to advancing legal scholarship, ADLIYA prioritizes the dissemination of cutting-edge research on legal reform, justice enforcement, and human rights protection. The journal emphasizes critical analyses of constitutional law, criminal law, civil law, international law, environmental law, and human rights, with a focus on policy innovation, case studies, and empirical investigations. A hallmark of ADLIYA is its balanced exploration of normative legal doctrines and their practical implementation, offering nuanced insights into how legal systems adapt to socio-cultural complexities. This dual focus on theoretical rigor and empirical relevance underscores its role as a catalyst for legal development tailored to societal needs.

As an open-access journal utilizing the Open Journal System (OJS), ADLIYA ensures global accessibility by publishing articles in both Bahasa Indonesia and English. This multilingual strategy not only enriches Indonesia’s legal scholarship but also amplifies its contributions to international debates on social justice and sustainable legal development. By featuring original research, policy reviews, and theoretical critiques, ADLIYA serves as a collaborative nexus for academics, legal practitioners, and policymakers to address multifaceted legal challenges. Its dedication to fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and promoting equitable access to knowledge solidifies ADLIYA’s position as an indispensable resource for advancing legal systems that prioritize humanity, inclusivity, and global solidarity.
