Improving Student Learning Activities through Demonstration Method in Praying Fardhu at MIN 1 Garut

Abstract


This research aims to increase student learning activities through demonstration methods with an individual approach in learning Fardhu Prayer for class II students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Garut. The research method used is Classroom Action Research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects included all class II students consisting of two classes with 26 students each. The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. The results of the research show that the application of the demonstration method with an individual approach is effective in increasing student participation and their understanding of the Fardhu prayer. Cycle I showed an increase in student participation and understanding, with the average test score increasing from 75 at the beginning of the cycle to 85 at the end of the cycle. Cycle II showed a significant increase in student participation and achievement of learning completeness, with the average test score increasing to 92 and 85% of students achieving learning completeness. This research contributes to developing interactive and effective learning methods in the context of Islamic religious education in elementary schools.
