Abstract


In the teaching and learning process, the use of various strategies, methods, learning models and learning media is very necessary to achieve good results. Especially in Islamic religious education learning, traditional methods such as lectures, questions and answers, and assignments are often used, but this often results in students not being fluent in reading makhrojul letters and incompatibility with tajwid knowledge. One way to overcome this problem is to implement a drill strategy. This research aims to find out whether the drill method can improve student learning outcomes in memorizing QS. An Nas Verses 1-6 in class II at SDN Curugrendeng I. Classroom action research (PTK) carried out in three cycles showed a significant increase in students' memorization abilities. In the pre-cycle, only 1 student (5.55%) passed the memorization test, increasing to 10 students (45.45%) in cycle I, 18 students (81.81%) in cycle II, and reaching 100% in cycle III. Thus, the drill method has proven to be effective in improving student learning outcomes in memorizing QS. An Nas at SD Negeri Curugrendeng I.
