Peer Review
Peer Review Process
Guidelines and evaluation workflows for scholarly manuscripts
Review Policy
Prestise applies a peer-review process to evaluate the scholarly quality, originality, relevance, and methodological rigor of submitted manuscripts. The purpose of peer review is to support informed editorial decisions and provide constructive feedback to authors.
Initial Editorial Screening
Upon submission, the editorial team checks whether the manuscript:
- Fits the journal's focus and scope.
- Meets basic submission and formatting requirements.
- Demonstrates sufficient originality and scholarly relevance.
- Includes the required declarations and supporting information.
- Complies with the journal's research ethics and publication policies.
Manuscripts may be returned for technical correction, rejected at the initial stage, or forwarded for peer review.
Reviewer Selection
Manuscripts considered suitable for review are assigned to qualified reviewers based on their expertise and the subject of the submission. Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, maintain confidentiality, and disclose potential conflicts of interest.
Peer-Review Model
The journal uses a double-blind peer-review model (double-anonymous), where author identities are concealed from reviewers and reviewer identities are concealed from authors to the extent practicable.
Review Criteria
Reviewers may evaluate manuscripts according to the following criteria:
- Relevance to the journal's scope.
- Originality and contribution to existing knowledge.
- Adequacy of the theoretical foundation and literature review.
- Appropriateness and transparency of the research methodology.
- Accuracy and clarity of results and analysis.
- Quality of discussion and interpretation.
- Validity of conclusions and implications.
- Quality of writing, structure, and references.
- Compliance with relevant research ethics standards.
Editorial Decisions
Based on the reviews and the editor's independent assessment, a manuscript may receive one of the following decisions:
- Accept: The manuscript is accepted for publication.
- Minor Revision: Limited revisions are required before a final decision.
- Major Revision: Substantial revisions are required, and further evaluation may be necessary.
- Reject: The manuscript is not accepted for publication.
The editor retains responsibility for the final decision. Reviewer recommendations inform but do not automatically determine the editorial outcome.
Revision Process
Authors receiving a revision decision must submit a revised manuscript and a response to reviewers within 30 days. The response should address each comment individually and explain the revisions made or provide a reasoned response where a suggestion has not been adopted.
Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers or assessed by the editor, depending on the extent of revision.
Confidentiality and Conflicts of Interest
Editors and reviewers must treat submitted manuscripts as confidential documents. Manuscripts and their contents must not be shared or used for personal or professional advantage without authorization.
Individuals with actual or potential conflicts of interest must disclose them and, where necessary, withdraw from the relevant editorial or review process.
