Author criteria

Jurnal AGRO is committed to accurate, transparent, and responsible attribution of scholarly work. Authorship must reflect genuine intellectual contributions; honorary, gift, guest, coercive, and ghost authorship are unacceptable.

Criteria for authorship

All listed authors must (1) have made a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the study, data acquisition, data analysis, or interpretation; (2) have participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content; (3) have approved the version submitted and the final version accepted for publication; and (4) accept accountability for their contributions and cooperate in resolving questions about the integrity of the work. Individuals who assisted but do not meet the authorship criteria should be acknowledged with their permission.

Responsibilities and author contributions

The corresponding author is responsible for accurate author information, obtaining agreement from all co-authors, communicating editorial decisions, providing declarations and ethical approvals, and ensuring the submission is not under consideration elsewhere. All authors share responsibility for the reliability and integrity of the publication. The journal may request a contribution statement using the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT), supporting documentation, or written agreement of all authors.

Changes to authorship

Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors after submission must include an explanation and written agreement from all affected authors. The editor may refer unresolved disputes to the relevant institutions and may pause consideration pending resolution. Changes after publication require editorial assessment and, where appropriate, a formal correction notice.

Use of artificial intelligence tools

Generative AI systems and other automated tools cannot be credited as authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the work. Authors must disclose material use of such tools in manuscript preparation or research and remain responsible for accuracy, originality, confidentiality, citation integrity, and compliance with applicable research ethics. Routine spelling and grammar assistance need not be treated as scientific authorship. Undisclosed or inappropriate AI-generated content may be investigated under the journal's research integrity policies.
