Plagiarism Check Policy

Jurnal AGRO does not tolerate plagiarism, appropriation of others' ideas or data without attribution, undisclosed substantial text recycling, duplicate or redundant publication, or misleading citation practices. Authors must submit original work, cite all relevant sources accurately, and obtain permission where required.

Screening and interpretation

Submitted manuscripts may be screened using Turnitin or another suitable text-similarity detection system. A similarity score is a screening indicator, not by itself a finding of plagiarism. Editors assess the nature, location, and extent of overlap, correct quotation and citation, standard terminology, methodological descriptions, previously disseminated material, and the context of the work. The journal does not use an arbitrary percentage alone as a substitute for editorial judgment.

Editorial action

When potentially problematic overlap is identified, the editor may request an explanation, supporting evidence, or a revised manuscript; reject a submission; or contact authors' institutions or other journals where warranted. Serious or unresolved allegations will be managed through the Allegations of Research Misconduct Policy, with an opportunity for relevant parties to respond and with appropriate confidentiality.

Plagiarism or duplicate publication discovered after publication may result in a correction, expression of concern, or retraction as appropriate under the journal's post-publication policies. Authors must not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously and should disclose related manuscripts, preprints, conference outputs, and overlapping data at submission.
