1. Institutional Support
The journal receives institutional support from UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Indonesia, including funding for website maintenance and management. This support contributes to the continuity of journal operations and the accessibility of published research.
Institutional support does not confer preferential treatment on submissions from the supporting institution. Such submissions remain subject to the journal’s editorial assessment, peer-review requirements, and conflict-of-interest procedures.
3. Use of Revenue
Institutional support and author fees contribute to the costs of maintaining the journal and publishing scholarly content. Supported activities include:
- Website maintenance and technical management of the publishing platform.
- Submission administration, editorial correspondence, and coordination of peer review.
- Copyediting, layout, proofreading, and preparation of publication files.
- Online publication, metadata preparation, and dissemination of published articles.
These charges support publishing operations; they do not purchase favorable reviewer recommendations or editorial decisions. Published articles remain freely accessible to readers under the Open Access Policy.
4. Editorial Independence
Decisions to accept, request revisions, or reject a manuscript are based on its scholarly quality, originality, methodological or analytical rigor, ethical integrity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
- Financial contributions, institutional affiliations, and an author’s willingness or ability to pay must not determine a manuscript’s academic acceptance.
- The publisher, institutional supporters, and service providers must not use financial influence to secure acceptance, rejection, or favorable treatment.
- Fee administration must not direct reviewer recommendations or replace independent editorial judgment.
- Any request for a fee waiver or payment arrangement, where considered under the Author Fees Policy, must be assessed separately from the manuscript’s scholarly merits.
- Editors with relevant financial, institutional, or personal conflicts must disclose them and withdraw from handling the affected submission when required by the Conflict of Interest Policy.
Review procedures and editorial responsibilities are described in the Peer Review Process and Publication Ethics Policy.
5. Financial Transparency and Enquiries
Payments must follow the official instructions issued through the journal’s authorized administrative channels. Authors should receive clear information about the purpose and amount of a charge before making payment. Payments must not be directed to an editor’s or reviewer’s personal account.
Any additional revenue source introduced in the future, including sponsorship or advertising, must be disclosed on the journal’s website. Such arrangements must preserve editorial independence and comply with the Advertising and Marketing Policy, where applicable.
Changes to revenue arrangements or author fees will be communicated through the relevant policy pages. Agreed charges must not be increased retrospectively without prior disclosure and the affected author’s agreement.
Questions about funding, fees, or possible financial influence on editorial decisions may be directed to the Editorial Office. Information about the publisher and journal management is available on the Ownership and Management page.
