Asy-Syari'ah is a periodical scientific journal that publishes various results of studies and research, literature review, and other scientific works whose scope covers the field of Islamic law/sharia, law, and society in monodisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and multidisciplinary manners. The journal aims to expand and create innovative concepts, theories, paradigms, perspectives, and methodologies in the above-said scope. The Journal is published twice a year (June and December) by the Faculty of Shariah and Law, Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University Bandung, and in collaboration with ASSYI: Indonesia Sharia Scholars Association.

Asy-Syari'ah has been accredited by The Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia as an academic journal in Sinta 3 (SK Diirjen Penguatan Riset dan Pengembangan Kemristekdikti No. 14/E/KPT/2019). Since the beginning of Volume 24 No. 1 2022 until Volume 28 No. 2 2026 Asy-Syari'ah has been accredited in Sinta 2 (SK Dirjen Pendidikan Tinggi, Riset dan Teknologi No: 79/E/KPT/2023).


Peer-Reviewers will review any submitted paper. The peer-Review process employs a double-blind review, which means that both the peer-reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.

Announcements

 

Important things that writers need to know:

  
  
  1. We only accept articles that are sent/uploaded to the Open Journal System (OJS) of the asy-Syari'ah Journal;
  2. We do not charge any fees either in the publishing process or after the article is published online;
  3. We do not accept orders / written entrusted in any form to pass online selection or publication;
  4. All articles submitted to the OJS Journal of Asy-Syari'ah will go through a rigorous selection process by the Editorial Board and Reviewers so that in the course of the process, each article can be rejected or pass online publication;
  5. The submitted articles sent/uploaded to the OJS Journal of Asy-Syari'ah might be done in English or Bahasa Indonesia. However, for articles that have reached the copyediting stage, they must be corrected in English;
  6. Authors who do not include an active WhatsApp number in their profiles nor cooperative, and cannot be contacted by the Journal Manager (if they have passed the selection), then their writing will be immediately rejected;
  7. A request for a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) will be provided if the Writer's article has passed the Reviewer's correction results;
  8. The authors might print their articles, if published online, by downloading the PDF/JPG files available on the Archive menu at OJS Asy-Syari'ah Journal.
