Abstract

.This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in fairy tale material by using a guided inquiry model assisted by audio-visual media in class III MIS Cikohkol, Banjarsari District, Ciamis Regency. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which consists of two cycles, each including planning, action implementation, observation and reflection stages. At the planning stage, a learning plan is prepared that utilizes audio-visual media to enrich the guided inquiry process. Implementation of the action involves the use of fairy tales presented through audio-visual media to encourage students to actively ask questions, think critically, and find their own understanding of the material being studied. Observations are carried out to monitor student involvement and responses during the learning process. The research results show that the application of the guided inquiry model assisted by audio-visual media significantly improves student learning outcomes. The average student score increased from 65 in the initial test to 85 in the second cycle final test. In addition, students show increased interest and motivation to learn, as well as critical and creative thinking abilities. This research concludes that the guided inquiry model assisted by audio-visual media is effective in improving student learning outcomes in fairy tale material in class III MIS Cikohkol. It is recommended that teachers use this approach for other materials that require active involvement and deep understanding from students.
