Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in the Fiqh subject with the subject of Sacrifice in class V MI PUI Leuwikujang Majalengka through the application of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type cooperative learning model. The NHT model was chosen because it is able to encourage active participation of all students in group discussions, as well as improving their critical thinking and collaboration skills. This research uses a classroom action research method which consists of two cycles. Each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The subjects of this research were 25 class V MI PUI Leuwikujang students. Data was collected through learning results tests, observations and interviews. The research results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, the average student score reached 70, while in cycle II it increased to 85. Apart from that, students' active participation in group discussions also increased, which can be seen from the results of observations and interviews. The conclusion of this research is that the application of the NHT type cooperative learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes in Fiqh subjects with the subject of Sacrifice. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers consider using the NHT model as an alternative learning strategy to improve the quality of learning and student learning outcomes.
