This research aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving Islamic education achievement. The PBL model is a pedagogical approach that emphasizes solving real problems as a way to stimulate learning and mastery of material by students. The research method used was quasi-experimental research with a pre-test and post-test design in the control and experimental groups. Data was collected through learning achievement tests, observations, and student learning satisfaction questionnaires. The research results showed that there was a significant increase in learning achievement in Islamic education in the group of students taught using the PBL model compared to the control group who used conventional methods. In addition, students who learn with the PBL model show increased motivation, active involvement, and critical thinking skills. These findings indicate that implementing the PBL model can be an effective strategy in improving the quality of Islamic education in schools. This research recommends that the PBL model be adopted more widely in the Islamic education curriculum to maximize student learning potential.
