Post-Publication Ethics and Dispute Resolution

Asy-Syari'ah follows the COPE Core Practice on post-publication discussions and corrections. The journal welcomes scholarly comment on published articles, since critical engagement is part of the process by which knowledge is tested and refined. Post-publication discussion should be constructive, evidence-based, and respectful, and should focus on the content of the published work rather than on the persons of the authors.

Submitting Comments

Readers who wish to comment on a published article may submit a letter to the editor, a commentary, or a response article to jurnalasy-syariah@uinsgd.ac.id, identifying the article concerned (title, authors, volume, issue, and DOI), the specific points of disagreement or concern, and supporting evidence or references. Comments should be submitted within [12 months] of the article’s publication, although the journal may consider later comments where the issue raised is significant.

Review and Right of Reply

Submitted comments are screened by the editors for relevance, scholarly quality, and compliance with publication ethics, and may be sent for peer review. Where a comment is considered for publication, the authors of the original article will be invited to respond, and the comment and reply may be published together. Comments that are personal, defamatory, discriminatory, or unsupported by evidence will not be published.

Concerns about Research Integrity

Comments that raise concerns about the reliability or integrity of a published article, such as suspected plagiarism, data or source fabrication, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or authorship problems, are handled under the journal’s policy on allegations of research misconduct rather than as ordinary scholarly commentary.

Corrections and Retractions

Where post-publication discussion or other information shows that a published article contains errors or is unreliable, the journal may publish a correction, an editorial note, an expression of concern, or a retraction, in accordance with COPE guidance. The aim of such action is to protect the integrity of the scholarly record. Corrections and retractions are linked to the original article and remain permanently accessible.
