Asy-Syari'ah is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal committed to transparency regarding its ownership, governance, and management. This page provides information on the entities responsible for the journal, in line with the COPE Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.

Ownership

The Sharia and Law Faculty, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, owns the journal and is located in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The owner holds the legal and institutional responsibility for the journal’s existence and continuity.

Management and Editorial Independence

The journal is managed by an editorial team led by the Editor-in-Chief, who is appointed by the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The names, roles, and affiliations of the editorial board and editorial team are published on the journal’s Editorial Team page. Editorial decisions are made independently on the basis of scholarly merit, originality, relevance to the journal’s scope, and the outcome of peer review. The owner, publisher, funders, and sponsors do not interfere in editorial decisions.
