OPEN ACCESS POLICY

HIJAI: Journal on Arabic Language and Literature provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. This is an open-access journal, meaning all content is freely available without charge to users or institutions. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full-text articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or author, in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).

Articles published in HIJAI are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

  • Copyright Ownership: Authors retain full copyright and publishing rights without restrictions.
  • Reuse Rights: Permitted to share, copy, and redistribute the material in any medium or format, provided proper attribution is given to the original work.

ARCHIVING & PRESERVATION POLICY

To ensure long-term digital preservation and permanent access to published scholarly content, HIJAI utilizes the following digital archiving policies:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): Digitally preserves all published content automatically across decentralized systems.
  • LOCKSS & CLOCKSS: Open Journal Systems (OJS) supports LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS to guarantee a secure, permanent, and accessible archive.
  • Self-Archiving (Repository): Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit the published PDF version of their work in institutional repositories or personal websites immediately after publication.
