HIJAI: Journal on Arabic Language and Literature is fully committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity and preventing any form of plagiarism or duplicate publication. Authors must submit original works that have not been published previously nor are currently under consideration by another journal.

Screening Process & Threshold

  • Software Used: All submitted manuscripts are screened for similarity using Turnitin prior to the peer-review process.
  • Similarity Index Limit: The maximum allowable similarity index for manuscripts in HIJAI is less than 15% (excluding references and quotes).
  • Policy Violation: Manuscripts exceeding the 15% threshold will be returned to the authors for revision or may be rejected immediately depending on the severity of the overlap.
