JISPO discourages the withdrawal of manuscripts after submission or publication, except for compelling reasons (e.g., fundamental errors, ethical concerns, or legal issues). Withdrawal wastes the significant time and resources invested by editors, reviewers, and the publisher.
If an author nevertheless wishes to withdraw a manuscript, they must submit an Article Withdrawal Request Form stating the reason for withdrawal. The form must be signed by all authors or, at a minimum, by the corresponding author on behalf of all co-authors. A manuscript is not considered withdrawn until the editorial office issues written confirmation.
Please do not hesitate to contact the editorial office (see Contact) to obtain the form and instructions. Withdrawing a submission because it has been accepted elsewhere is considered unethical. Authors must avoid simultaneous or duplicate submissions and should not request withdrawal for the purpose of publishing the same work in another journal.
