Keterlibatan Orang Tua dalam Mengenalkan Sains untuk Anak Visual Impairment

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengeksplorasi keterlibatan orang tua dalam mengenalkan sains untuk anak visual impairments. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan melibatkan 5 orang tua yang memiliki anak dengan gangguan visual impairments. Pengambilan partisipan dilakukan dengan purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur. Analisis data menggunakan Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari data collection, data reduction, data display, dan data verification. Hasil penelitian ini mendeskripsikan keterlibatan orang tua dalam mengenalkan kegiatan sains pada anak visual impairments. Orang tua mengenalkan sains dengan media yang variatif, sehingga orang tua dapat merasakan langsung kelebihan dan kekurangan dari media yang digunakan. Dalam mengenalkan sains memberikan respon positif pada anak visual impairments, walaupun ada beberapa tantangan yang sulit dikendalikan oleh orang tua dalam mengenalkan sains pada anak. Pengetahuan yang minim, anak yang takut, dan kurang partisipasi menjadi tantangan orang tua. Namun orang tua mencoba untuk menemukan solusinya dengan mencari sumber informasi, melibatkan anggota keluarga, dan menyesuaikan kondisi anak.
