Aims and Scope
Aims
al Kimiya: Jurnal Ilmu Kimia dan Terapan aims to disseminate credible, original, and reproducible research that advances chemical sciences and their applications. The journal encourages multidisciplinary approaches where chemistry provides a substantive experimental, analytical, theoretical, or technological contribution.
Scope of Publication
The journal welcomes research in the following areas:
- Inorganic and materials chemistry: coordination compounds, organometallic chemistry, solid-state chemistry, catalysts, functional materials, and chemical characterization.
- Organic chemistry and natural products: organic synthesis, reaction mechanisms, isolation and characterization of natural compounds, green synthesis, and medicinally relevant chemical compounds.
- Analytical chemistry: method development and validation, chromatography, spectroscopy, sensors, electroanalysis, chemometrics, and analytical instrumentation.
- Physical, theoretical, and computational chemistry: kinetics, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, surface science, photochemistry, spectroscopy, molecular modeling, and chemical computation.
- Biochemistry and chemical biology: enzymology, biomolecules, metabolism, bioactive compounds, and biochemical applications.
- Food and agricultural chemistry: food safety and quality, food composition, food additives, chemical processing, and sustainable use of agricultural resources.
- Energy and environmental chemistry: batteries, fuels, bioenergy, photocatalysis, renewable chemical energy, pollution monitoring, adsorption, environmental remediation, and green chemistry.
- Chemistry-based local innovation: ethically conducted research on indigenous or local materials, natural resources, sustainable practices, and technology relevant to communities.
- Chemistry and values-based applications: scientifically grounded chemical research relevant to halal-related analysis, sustainability, environmental stewardship, or other social and ethical contexts.
